During the evening of February 18, 2009, a fatal roll over accident occurred in Henderson, Nevada. One person died at the scene and another person died while enroute to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center. The accident occurred at Lake Mead Boulevard and Fiesta Henderson Parkway. The cause of the accident is under investigation and few details have been disclosed.The decedents’ names will not be released until the families have been notified.

Since few details have been released, it is unknown how exactly this tragic motor vehicle accident occurred. There are several possibilities. The accident may have resulted from driver error. For example, the driver may have been traveling too fast under the circumstances. It is possible that the vehicle itself or the tires were defectively designed resulting in a rollover. If a product is defectively designed and/or manufactured, it is often referred to as a “products liability” case. Other possibilities include the negligence of the driver of another vehicle which may have caused the deceased driver to take evasive action which led to a rollover. As you can see, there are a myriad of possible causes for this catastrophe and these are only a few of the possibilities. Until more facts are released, it is too soon to narrow down the causes.
As many of you already know, the general area where this motor vehicle accident occurred can be extremely dangerous and difficult to navigate. When trying to get to Fiesta or 95 from 215, a driver is often required to make several lane changes in a very short period of time. Often, there is a mad dash by numerous cars that may be in each other’s blind spot. Please proceed with extreme caution through this area.
The loss of any life is tragic. The loss of life as a result of the negligence of another individual or entity is even more heartbreaking because it should not have happened.
